Hello,
Does anyone know why the original name for the 2nd Generation X album was changed from Intercourse (Old Meets New) to Valley of the Dolls. I know that Valley of the Dolls is that name of a book, but I am asking why Intercourse (Old Meets New) - which was even published in an article in NME - was not chosen? My best guess would be that Chrysalis had a hand in this, but I'd like to know for sure.
Thank you, Carolyn

Interesting question. I've never heard or read about the title change but I guess that's not unusual that an album has a working title and that it's changed during the production. (For instance I read an article a cuple of months before the release of Cyberpunk, that the name of the album was going to be "Modern Primitive")
And as you writes, Chrysalis might have thougt that it was a good idea to change the album name as they planed to release the track as a single.
